Linden, AL, January 18--Linden Lumber Company laid off 150 workers at its Linden, Alabama plant on Jan. 13 according to a report in the Demopolis Times.
The company's Linden plant went on a two week shutdown in December because the company's finished goods inventories were too high, according to the newspaper. The shutdown did not affect the company's operations at its plant in Thomasville, Alabama.
The Linden plant employed 635 workers before the recently announced layoffs according to the newspaper.
