Leone Named Mapei Strategic Marketing Director

Deerfield Beach, CA, July 6, 2007 – Mapei has named Jeff Leone as its Director of Strategic Marketing. He brings the company additional expertise in product development planning that will give contractors new products to meet their construction requirements. “Leone’s 24 years of experience, most recently with BASF/Basell Polyolefins, will help Mapei expand its leadership position in flooring installation systems and concrete restoration products,” said Mapei Americas President and CEO Rainer Blair.

Leone received a degree in chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University, and has worked in a variety of technical and business leadership roles. Leone most recently worked in BASF’s Michigan location and was based in China before that. “I am a strong believer in engaging our customers in order to develop the best product line for the industry,” Leone said. “I look forward to being with MAPEI in this exciting, fast-paced industry.”
