Legacy Flooring Adds Complete Recycling Service
Toledo, OH, November 29, 2007 –Legacy Commercial Flooring of Toledo has added complete flooring recycling and carpet reclamation to its line of services.
"We are excited to be the first contractor in the region to offer complete carpet reclamation services," said Executive Vice President Chuck Rajner.
"The addition of this service will allow our customers the ability to practice seamless environmental responsibility with ease and minimal cost."
Legacy Toledo recently completed its first reclamation project with TheLathrop Company in Maumee, Ohio. The corporate office renovation project recycled18,297 square feet of carpet.
Through the StarNet One-Stop Reclamation Program, Legacy began offering the service October 1. The carpet recycling program is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) compliant.
The program is flexible enough to accept and recycle virtually all carpet materials from any mill. After the old carpet is received at the nearest service center, it will begin its new life in the form of new flooring products, consumer and industrial parts, or converted into energy. No useful part of the old flooring goes to waste.
Customers who take advantage of the program can expect a comprehensive quote with no hidden expenses, trained and experienced staff to remove the old flooring, transportation to a reclamation center, proof that the material did not go to the landfill, documentation for compliance and a project specific environmental impact study.
