Lees & Tricycle Partner on Thought Patterns

Chattanooga, Tenn., March 4--Thought Patterns, Lees Carpets’ latest offering to the designer community, is a collaborative effort with Tricycle, Inc. and is powered by SIM from Tricycle. Thought Patterns offers design flexibility to carpet specifiers, lowering turnaround time for custom coloring. Users can choose from 165 patterns and 20 colorways, manage personal project folders, view their choices placed into room scenes, and order high definition “Techno Images” to be delivered within 48 hours— all before a hard sample is ordered. The program enables designers to explore the early rounds of creative options without adding to the number of cast-off samples that end up in landfills. The program is accessible to architects and designers world-wide through an intuitive, user-friendly web site: www.thoughtpatterns.com "Our goal was not to launch another information only website, but to provide a truly kinetic, fun, interactive design tool that will save our clients time and money by eliminating the frustration and waste associated with waiting on custom carpet strike-offs that may or may not look like what the designer envisioned," says Allen Parker, Lees Carpets vice president of Custom Design. Thought Patterns runs on Lees’ Accelerated Design System (ADS), which is built upon Tricycle technologies. Color-accurate and realistically textured, SIM from Tricycle digitally tufts carpet for prototyping, sampling and product presentation, offering a new standard for sustainability, reducing lead time in the creative product lifecycle. An alternative to hard samples, it's been honored with three NeoCon awards by the architect and designer community. Tricycle also developed the web tools and interface for the Thought Patterns site.
