Leading Economic Indicators Edge Down in April

New York, NY, May 17, 2012 -- The index of U.S. leading economic indicators fell unexpectedly in April, according to the Conference Board.

The Conference Board’s measure of the outlook for the next three to six months decreased 0.1% after a 0.3% gain in March.

Economists projected the gauge would rise by 0.1%.
