Las Vegas Market to Offer Green Seminars

Las Vegas, NV, November 2, 2007--World Market Center Las and the Sustainable Furniture Council are partnering on a series of retailer-focused educational seminars during the Las Vegas Market January 28 – February 1.

The Brave New World Environmental Leadership Education Series calls for an “expression of interest” from retailers who are interested in taking a leadership position in education about sustainable home furnishings to consumers, sales staff, suppliers and service providers.

The events are open to buyers, suppliers, designers, media and industry service providers and are designed to provide key information and strategies for change with a focus on long term consumer and supplier education.

According to Mike Italiano, president and CEO of the Institute for Market Transformation to Sustainability “The race is on and the best margins go to the early adopters. Certified sustainable products increase manufacturer and retailer profitability. Recent figures show the sustainable products market is exploding with 20 -75% long term annual growth in certified organic products, certified green buildings and homes, FSC certified wood and certified sustainable products.”
