Kuwait Construction Sector Still Growing: Domotex
Dubai, UAE, April 6, 2009--Domotex Middle East 2009 said it is poised to leverage Kuwait's $2.65 billion construction sector to drive demand for carpet and floor covering products and services in the country.
The trade show will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 17-19.
Domotex Middle East said that Kuwait's construction sector has been predicted to further consolidate and grow to $3.44 billion in 2013, driven by strong demand for residential as well as office space.
Also, Kuwait's construction industry is poised to increase its contribution to the GDP from 1.59 percent in 2008 to 2.10 percent in 2009.
Angela Schaschen, Managing Director, Deutsche Messe Dubai Branch said: "Kuwait will always remain a very important market for the carpets and floor coverings industry because of the significant number of construction activities in the country. The strong demand for office space will particularly impact the growth of the flooring market as building developments will require various carpets and floor covering products and services."
This year's trade show will feature two segments. One, Creative Flooring and Designers Corner, will showcase materials, products, techniques and trends in carpet and flooring designs for the hospitality and office sectors.
Also, the show is partnering with the Association for Professional Interior Designers to collaborate in key areas, including the inaugural Flooring Seminar, which will facilitate discussions with APID members about the role of flooring in interior design.
