Kronopol Opens South Carolina Facility

Toronto, Ontario, February 14, 2006--Kronopol Marketing, the North American division of Kronopol, has opened a second facility in Greenville, SC, for the distribution of its flooring products. Kronopol’s first distribution center in Minneapolis opened last spring. As well, it is adding to its current offering of environmental, FSC-certified laminate products new environment-friendly flooring choices in bamboo and cork. Kronopol is a member of the Swiss Krono Group and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of laminate flooring. Its products are well established in many U.S. and Canadian markets through regional distributors and the Home Depot in Canada. The Minneapolis and Greenville facilities are among the first in a planned distribution network for the United States, according to Paolo Zampieron, v.p. Kronopol marketing. “Our new operations in the U.S. not only reflect growing sales, but are key to Kronopol Marketing’s policy of on-time delivery of all Kronopol lines, in any quantity from 20 truckloads to ten cartons,” says Zampieron. “This policy has proven to be an important marketing tool and well worth the significant investment we will be making to develop our own distribution infrastructure,” he adds. The new distribution facilities are shared with affiliate company Supra Floors Inc., a manufacturer of innovative flooring products for concrete floors. Last February, Supra began manufacturing operations in Michigan for the production of Subflor Advance and Subflor Supreme. Introduced in 2003 and 2004 respectively, these products for basement and other concrete floor applications are experiencing strong consumer demand. Kronopol Marketing and Supra Floors head offices are located in Toronto, Ontario, in a complex that includes training facilities and a state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
