Kennebec Lumber Wins Pine Tree Award

Solon, ME, Jan. 16, 2012 -- Kennebec Lumber Co. was awarded the Pine Tree Award by the Maine Wood Products Association.

The award is presented annually to a Maine-based wood products manufacturing company that has taken innovative steps in the past three years to strengthen its business.

Kennebec Lumber operates a hardwood lumber sawmill in Solon, where it processes hardwood logs into kiln-dried lumber and is made into 3/4” solid hardwood flooring using only slow growth North American Hard Maple, Red Oak, Ash, Yellow Birch, Hickory and Cherry hardwood species, branded under the name Maine Traditions Flooring.
