Karastan Manufacturing Now ISO 14001 Certified

Dalton, GA, Oct. 7, 2008—Karastan said that its manufacturing plant in Eden, NC is ISO 14001 certified with the International Organization for Standardization.

The company’s spinning and worsted facilities in Greenville, NC will receive thesameis prestigious environmental certification in October 2008.

ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard (EMS) that specifies a set of requirements. The purpose of this standard is to help organizations protect the environment, prevent pollution and improve environmental performance.

Karastan also said that all New Zealand wool it uses is scoured by a company that meets stringent Environmental Choice New Zealand specifications.
