Kansas Lumber Company Buys Flooring Firm

Wichita, KS, December 6, 2007--A Wichita, Kansas lumber company has purchased an Edmond, Oklahoma-based flooring company, according to the Wichita Eagle newspaper.

Star Lumber has purchased Specialized Flooring LLC, which has two Oklahoma design centers.

Specialized Flooring and Star Lumber both serve the builder market in a growing area.

Star president Chris Goebel told the paper that. "It's an excellent flooring market."

Caleb McCaleb, president of the 1,400-member Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association, said new home construction remains strong.
