Kane Carpet Returns to AmericasMart

Atlanta, GA, October 10, 2006--Kane Carpet, has returned to the Area Rug Center at AmericasMart Atlanta after a four-year absence. Its brand new 1,550 square-foot showroom ,which nearly double that of its former AmericasMart showroom, is located in 6C3 on the recently reconfigured 6th floor. Founded 47 years ago, Kane today encompasses a large family of collections representing some of the most popular names in the carpet industry: the American Dream Collection, Creativity and Elegance, as well as its high-end 2006 Broadloom Collection featuring runners. “After extensive research we determined that the pulse of the industry is in Atlanta and specifically its winter Market,” says Herb Frank, president, Kane Carpet. “We exhibited in Atlanta four years ago and left. It was a mistake. Atlanta has the key players we really want. We’re excited to be back and eager to showcase our revolutionary designs and lines, as well as our innovative merchandising ideas. We’re especially excited to be one of the few companies that have matching rugs, runners and broadloom—all stocked and ready for immediate delivery. We’re also planning a major showing of broadloom carpeting. Not a small display hidden in the corner but a fully integrated and diverse showing.” “AmericasMart is a must for any and all companies selling area rugs. I’m eager to greet all of our customers as well as the AmericasMart staff in January,” continues Frank. New York-headquartered Kane Carpet continues to revolutionize the carpet industry with its weaving and yarn systems and as a result has experienced explosive growth over the last 18 months. Kane purchased its main distribution facilities in Calhoun, Georgia just more than two years ago and the facility is already expanding by 10 acres. Fueling this growth is Kane’s introduction of a number of ground-breaking processes, including its HSPP/wool combination in both cut pile and flat woven wiltons, as well as the woven, 1.5 million point eurolon broadloom. It also offers a hand-tufted wool program that receives wide acclaim from consumers, as well as industry peers. Most recently, Kane has developed a heavy duty indoor/outdoor woven rug program so revolutionary it will even perform in flooded areas. Kane’s return to AmericasMart is important for a number of reasons,” states Chas Sydney, senior vice president, floor covering and new business development. “Under the visionary leadership of Herb Frank, Kane is spearheading the return of high-end broadloom carpet—in massive and diverse quantities—to Market. Additionally, its unprecedented growth over the last few years has opened wide the door for Kane to provide an exciting product mix highlighted by rich styling, exceptional color and extraordinary selection.”
