Johnsonsite Launches Website on Sustainability
Chagrin Falls, OH, February 14, 2008 – Johnsonite has launched johnsoniteenvironment.com, an interactive microsite dedicated to Johnsonite’s sustainability support.
The site offers these key sustainable benefits:
A balanced approach to explanation of the triple bottom line: sustainability, that considers the environmental, human and financial impact.
Highly sustainable flooring and accessories and how they contribute to the environment.
Flooring solutions that are modular and can be reused within the same facility or a different space.
Detail and procedures for Restart- Johnsonite’s reclamation program.
Johnsonite solutions that meet CHPS 01350 and Floorscore certification for positive indoor air quality.
Detailed LEED information for New Construction, Commercial Interiors and Existing Buildings. These charts show how every single Johnsonite solution contributes in one way or another to helping obtain LEED points. Recycled content and rapidly renewable materials are broken out into separate sections for more clarity.
“We are constantly studying internal processes to improve our environmental impact,” said Sharon Folliard, Johnsonite’s vice president of design and development and a LEED accredited professional.
