Johnsonite Tile Used in Award-Winning School

Chagrin Falls, OH, Oct. 28, 2010 -- Johnsonite vinyl tile was used in the design and construction of the Manassas Park Elementary School and Pre-K, which was recently recognized as an American Institute of Architects’ 2010 Committee on the Environment Award Winner.

The MPES, one of only ten American-architect-designed buildings in the world selected for the honor, includes approximately 100,000 square feet of the company’s Optima iQ tile.

The initial design specifications called for Johnsonite’s rubber flooring, but design firm VMDO ultimately selected Johnsonite’s Optima iQ flooring, partly for budget requirements.
