Johnsonite Linoleum Wins Green Good Design Award

Chagrin Falls, OH, June 16, 2009--Johnsonite has been awarded a 2009 Green Good Design award in the product/industrial design category for its new Harmonium xf linoleum.

The award was presented by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design, and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

Good Design was founded in Chicago in 1950 to promote and foster a greater public understanding and acceptance of modern design.

The new Green Good Design awards aim to bring appreciation and awareness to design based on the ideals of energy conservation, the reduction of toxic waste and greenhouse gases, the diminishing dependence on fossil fuels and a sensitivity for waste, pollution and depletion of the world’s energy resources.

Products were judged on their ability to promote energy savings, recycling and greater sustainability in all sectors of industry from consumer goods, furniture, transportation, equipment, printing and packaging, construction materials to household and business products.
