Atlanta, GA, Jan. 27--John Gallo, senior vice president of manufacturing for Amtico International and a member of its board of directors, died suddenly on January 24 while on a trip to the U.K. Cause of death was not immediately known.
Gallo spent the past year and a half with Amtico, where he blended the firm's U.S. and U.K. manufacturing teams into one global unit.
Prior to joining Amtico, Gallo spent 14 years with Domco Tarkett where he was executive vice president before his retirement in July, 2001.
"You cannot replace a John Gallo," said John Harris, president of Amtico's global business, "but the team he leaves behind is committed to fulfilling his dream."
