J+J/Invision Joins Designers Accord
Dalton, GA, April 24, 2009--J+J/Invision has joined The Designers Accord.
The Designers Accord is a global coalition of designers, educators, researchers, engineers and corporate leaders, working to create positive environmental and social impact.
Adopting The Designers Accord allows J+J/Invision, and all members, to access a community of peers that share methodologies, resources and experiences around environmental and social issues in design.
"We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our practices in light of advances in technology and environmental science, and we are honored to be the first carpet manufacturer to become a member of The Designers Accord,” said said Jenny Rogers, director of Creative Marketing and Sustainability for J+J/Invision.
The Designers Accord asks members to adapt a set of guidelines that include the commitment to support sustainable design and dedication to track their own carbon footprint.
J+J/Invision said it has already significantly reduced wastewater discharge, water consumption, electrical consumption, solid waste production and natural gas consumption on its campus in Dalton.
