J&J / Invision Earns ISO 14001 Certification

Dalton, GA, June 2, 2008-- J&J / Invision said it has achieved ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 14001 by NSF International.

This certification comes as a result of an established organization-wide environmental management system.

J&J / Invision began the certification process in September 2007. The company formatted a process for determining and improving significant environmental impacts. This included adapting new processes and systems, as well as training associates.

J&J / Invision’s management system works to reduce waste water discharge, water consumption, electrical consumption, solid waste management and natural gas consumption. Improvement processes for each significant impact were developed along with a plan for continual improvement.

The ISO exists to help organizations minimize how their operations hurt the environment; comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally-oriented requirements; and continually improve on each of these. The ISO 14001 environmental standard was launched in 1996 and is currently used in 138 countries.
