Jim's Carpet One of Fort Dodge, Iowa Destroyed by Fire

Fort Dodge, Iowa, July 22, 2015—Jim’s Carpet One of Fort Dodge, Iowa was destroyed by fire on the morning of July 21.

The four-alarm fire is estimated to have caused about $1 million in damages to the 63 year old business, according to KCCI 8.

Jim's Carpet One was started in 1952 by Jim Porter, Sr. Today, it is owned by Jim Porter, Jr. and Dean Struhrenberg.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
