ITC Affirms Punitive Duties on Chinese Wood

Washington, DC, Nov. 9, 2011 -- The International Trade Commission has voted 4-2 to affirm the petition on punitive anti-dumping duties on engineered wood flooring from China.

Comments on the decision are expected to be released on Nov. 22, which will explain the basis for the commission’s decision.

The decision is likely to appear in the Federal Registrar sometime after Nov. 27. Retroactive liability will be enforced on any imports that enter the country after that date.

Respondents will have until Dec. 22 to appeal the decision.

Alliance for Free Choice and Jobs in Flooring, which has been challenging the duties, said it may appeal the decision after reading the commentary later this month.
