Irish Carpet Plant Gutted

Kilkenny, Ireland, October 11--A major fire has broken out at a wooden flooring and carpet factory in county Kilkenny, at the Hebron Industrial Estate, according to IrelandOnline.com. The fire is believed to have started at All Floors factory just after 12.30 pm today. Seven units of the fire brigade are trying to fight the blaze, which has spread to three other buildings in the estate and it is believed that low water pressure in the area at the time has hampered their efforts. The three buildings are completely gutted, but fire officers are said to be relieved that the fire did not spread to a nearby factory containing highly inflammable adhesives and nearby oil tanks. There were no people in the buildings when the fire broke out and there are no reports of injuries. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
