Iran's Carpet Exports Hit $365M Since March

Tehran, Iran, Dec. 28, 2010 -- Iran exported $365 million worth of handmade carpets in the first nine months of current calendar year started March 21, according to the Tehran Times. 

The figure shows a 24% increase in terms of value in comparison to the same period previous year, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network reported. 

The director of Iran National Carpet Center Faisal Mardasi said that the value of handmade carpets exports could reach $500 million by the end of the current year.
