Tehran, Iran, July 24--Managing Director of Joint Stock Carpet Company, Mohammad-Ali Karimi said here on Tuesday that the 12th
specialized carpet exhibition will be held in Tehran's international permanent fair grounds from August 23-29.
He said that this is the first specialized exhibition on export carpets, where a unique collection of handwoven carpets from
various areas of the country will be showcased.
Karimi said that this year's fair is sponsored by Joint Stock Carpet Company and added that the carpet exhibition for domestic sale has been postponed to a later date to provide the professional carpet authorities and clients with a better opportunity to tour the exposition.
"The upcoming fair is mainly aimed at attracting major foreign clients and inviting them to visit the fair, buy carpets on domestic markets and tour Iran's recreational and touristic attractions," he added.
He said that some 150 Iranian carpet producers and exporters have so far been approved to attend the upcoming exposition.
"A domestic tour is also arranged for the visiting foreign tradesmen. They are scheduled to tour the capital city of Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd and Na'in and visit the upcoming Ardakan carpet festival," he concluded.
