Iran Exports $5.5 Million in Carpets to China

Tabriz, East Azarbaijan, July 26, 2011 -- Hand-woven carpets worth $5.5 million were exported to China last year, according to Faysal Mardasi, the head of Iran's National Carpet Center.

The increasing trend of carpet export to China indicates that grounds are prepared for raising exports to the country, Mardasi said.

Two carpet exhibitions were held in China during the past four months and Iran sent a commercial delegation to the country.
