Iowa Flooring Retailer Featured On HGTV

Iowa City, IA, Nov. 10--It's "all in the family" for Iowa City residents Lynn and Pamela Branchini, owners of Branchini Flooring, a family-run company specializing in designing custom hardwood floors, according to the Iowa City Press-Citizen. Branchini Flooring will be featured on Home and Garden Televison cable network today at 5 p.m. The company's work will be featured on the channel's "Modern Masters" program, which features craftsmen from different trades from all over the United States. "They could have picked other companies," Pamela Branchini said. "It's just amazing that they picked us." Lynn, 38, and Pamela, 36, were contacted in early 2002 after the show's producer visited the company's Website and saw the handcrafted hardwood floors. The show was taped in March. The Branchinis took the show's crew on a tour of various Johnson County homes to show off their work. Pamela's brother-in-law, Jeff Kersbergen, the company's code designer, represented the company in the episode. "Jeff is a very close friend. He created a lot of the designs, and I thought it would be an incredible opportunity for him to represent us," Lynn Branchini said. "This company is about family and how we work together as a whole." Lynn Branchini combined his lifelong love of working with wood and challenges to start the company in 1983, installing carpet and vinyl in homes in Iowa City. He later married Pamela, who became his business partner, and the couple began specializing in hardwood flooring in the early 1990s. Today, the company employs 29 people who are close family and friends. In 2003, they expanded their showroom to include displays of Connelly, Presidential and C.L. Bailey Pool Tables. The showroom also features bar stools, game tables and pool table accessories as well as Bull Frog and Sundance Spas. The showroom features a bakery that serves coffee, tea and homemade baked goods.
