Invista Presents Antron Awards

Newport Coast, CA, April 23, 2012 -– Invista, maker of Antron carpet fiber, awarded the Antron Design Award Grand Prize to OPX for the design of the law offices of Mintz Levin in Washington, D.C.

Judges awarded an additional nine projects with a category or merit awards for the innovative use of carpet in design.

Category awards were given to:
• Healthcare Category Winner:  Perkins Eastman for The Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
• Hospitality Category Winner:  Philip Koether Architects for Bar Basque
• Grand Prize Winner and Large Office Category Winner:  OPX for Mintz Levin
• Small Office Category Winner:  SmithGroupJJR for The Burgess Group
• Small Office Category Winner: HOK for HOK New York

Merit awards were given to:
• Healthcare Merit Winner:  WHR Architects for The Methodist Outpatient Care Center
• Large Office Merit Winner:  Paul Lukez Architecture for Intersystems Corporation
• Large Office Merit Winner:  HOK for Sony Mobile
• Public Spaces Merit Winner:  McCarty Holsaple McCarty for the University of Tennessee, Neyland Stadium, The Peyton Manning Locker Room & The Lauricella Center for Letter Winners
• Small Office Merit Winner: 20 Below Studio for Public Radio International (PRI)

Invista also presented the Antron Product Innovation Award to Masland Contract, Tandus Flooring and Bentley Prince Street.

Masland Contract received the Broadloom Gold award for “Emblem.”

Tandus Flooring captured the Modular Gold award for “Atmosphere.”
