Invista and Tricycle Ink Design and Sampling Deal

Chattanooga, TN, June 19, 2006--Invista and Tricycle, Inc., announced execution of an agreement to incorporate digital models of Invista's Antron nylon fiber into Tricycle's product development, prototyping and sampling tools. This will enable the mills to provide architects and interior designers to request color accurate and realistically textured images of carpet samples manufactured with Antron nylon fiber. The relationship between INVISTA and Tricycle begins with integrating Antron nylon fiber into the standard color library in Tricycle's product development and prototyping system, the Apso Jet Set. This will enable product development teams at any mill to digitally model carpet patterns using Antron carpet fiber. Beginning in the summer of 2006, Tricycle has announced that INVISTA's customers also will receive a reduced rate for set up in Tricycle's SIM+FactoryTM services, which include color accurate, realistically textured, recyclable alternative samples for use as design prototypes and direct-to-market samples. "We are extremely impressed with this offering by Tricycle because it gives our customers an innovative and sustainable tool to assist them with specifying products," said Bobby Berrier, vice president of Commercial/Transportation Flooring for INVISTA. "The technology creates images of carpet styles that realistically showcase the color and style of the carpet and gives designers a more efficient and sustainable option for ordering carpet samples." SIM digital modeling of carpet enables manufacturers to dematerialize product development and sampling as never before. Tricycle's ability to reduce wasted time, money, and natural resources in manufacturing and design has led to four NeoCon awards, a 2005 ADEX Platinum award, SIM's inclusion in Architectural Record's Top Ten Products (Digital) of 2005, and numerous design honors including a 2006 nomination for the Cooper Hewitt/ Smithsonian Institution's National Design Awards. "INVISTA is a recognized industry leader in the commercial interiors industry with rock-solid brands, technology innovation and sustainable design options," said Jonathan Bragdon, Tricycle President and COO. "The partnership with Tricycle further demonstrates their desire to bring the best tools and services available to their customers, as well as to help the industry lower the economic and environmental costs of manufacturing."
