Intl. Furnishings & Design Assoc. Offering Design Summit in NYC

New York, NY, May 12, 2017-The International Furnishings and Design Association Educational Foundation (IFDA-EF) is presenting its first DesignEdge, a dynamic, day-long summit featuring eminent industry leaders-ranging from millennials to baby boomers including social and traditional media experts, product and interior designers, manufacturers, architects and artisans-to discuss the future of design while offering inspiration and insight into succeeding during transformative times.

DesignEdge Summit will take place at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York, New York on May 20.

Award-winning global design force, Karim Rashid will kick off DesignEdge with his morning keynote presentation, "The Future of Design.” The afternoon panel will offer a revealing conversation between industry visionaries entitled, “Leading by Innovating.” Moderator Karen Marx, Home Furnishings director for the Hearst Design Group, will lead an in-depth dialogue with Caleb Anderson, partner and principal at Drake/Anderson; Jamie Derringer, founder and executive editor of Design Milk; Kevin Greenberg, founding principal of Space Exploration Design; Susan Jamieson, founder and principal of Bridget Beari Designs and Chad Stark, senior vice president of Stark and president of Scalamandre. The summit culminates in an open Q&A forum where attendees will have the opportunity to communicate directly with the panelists about their individual concerns and company needs.
