InterfaceFLOR Expands Presence in India

Chennai, India, March 27, 2008--InterfaceFLOR India Pvt Ltd has opened a sales and support office in Chennai to handle the growing demand for its carpet tiles in Tamil Nadu.

The new office will support the company’s India headquarters located at Bangalore. It will also provide support to the existing customer installations in Tamil Nadu.

 

The Indian unit is the 100 percent subsidiary of InterfaceFLOR.

 

Raj Menon, country manager India, at InterfaceFLOR said, “We are seeing a growing demand for our products in Tamil Nadu, especially in cities like Chennai and Coimbatore, with the burgeoning IT and ITeS industry as also the manufacturing industry which has seen large companies setting up operations in Tamil Nadu recently.”

 

InterfaceFLOR began business in India in 2001 and set up its fully owned subsidiary at Bangalore in 2007. In the last seven years, it has sold more than 1.5 million square meters of carpet tiles to over 200 major customers. The company expects 30 percent year-on-year growth.
