Interface Suffers Cybersecurity Incident

Atlanta, GA, December 12, 2022-- On November 20, Interface discovered a cybersecurity incident perpetrated by outside actors affecting its information technology systems.

In accordance with best practices, the company promptly initiated response protocols, launched an investigation, retained the services of cybersecurity professionals, including digital forensics specialists, and notified law enforcement authorities.

“Certain business operations, including inventory management, shipping, invoicing and other production-related systems at our major facilities are disrupted or operating in reduced capacity, resulting in delays in shipping and delivery of some customer orders. The company is working with its cybersecurity advisors to remediate the affected systems, restore impacted operations and evaluate whether any sensitive information may be affected as a result of the incident. Although the investigation of the incident is ongoing, the company implemented a series of containment and remediation measures to address this situation and reinforce the security of its information technology systems. At this early stage of the investigation and remediation process, the company is assessing, but currently unable to estimate, when operations may be substantially restored or what the ultimate effect of the incident on its business, results of operations or financial condition may be," according to the company.

At this time, "Business operations, including inventory management, shipping, invoicing and other production-related systems at the Company’s major facilities, have been substantially restored to normal functionality. The Company continues to investigate the incident and evaluate whether any sensitive information has been affected as a result of the incident," the company says.
