Interface Gets Noncompliance Waiver Extended To De

ATLANTA, GA, Dec. 3, 2002 -- Interface Inc.said that the lenders under its revolving credit facility have agreed to extend a waiver of noncompliance to Dec. 13 from Dec. 2. According to an 8-K filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it expects to complete an amendment to the facility before the waiver expires that will allow it to comply with the covenants in the future. The company first obtained a waiver from its lenders for the quarter ended Sept. 29 after it didn't comply with covenants that required it to maintain a specific interest coverage ratio and restricted its ability to make some payments.
