INSTALL Expands Web Site

Philadelphia, PA, November 28, 2006--The International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL) said today that its Internet presence is expanding with a larger, more content-oriented website directed toward specifiers and end users. Located at www.INSTALLfloors.org, the site now includes more information that specifiers can use for continuing education programs, more information about INSTALL contractors, and better ways to contact an INSTALL representative in active INSTALL areas. It also has a section that explains the various types of floors available in today’s industry, with direct links to some of the most prominent manufacturers in the flooring industry, all of whom are partners with INSTALL. “We believe the more information we can get into a specifier’s or end user’s hands about INSTALL, the more knowledgeable they will be about the importance of good installation for their flooring project,” said INSTALL Director John McGrath. INSTALL is a rigorous, career-long training and certification program offered to floor covering installers throughout the United States and Canada through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. The program is based on the needs of today’s flooring products. Major manufacturers such as Shaw, Mohawk, Armstrong and Mannington offer their technical experts to help steer the INSTALL curriculum via consistent content reviews. McGrath said the site will display an increasing amount information for specifiers and end users as new data becomes available.
