Initial Jobless Claims Rose by 45K to 770K in Second Week of March

Washington, DC, March 18, 2021-In the week ending March 13, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 770,000, an increase of 45,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. 

The previous week's level was revised up by 13,000 from 712,000 to 725,000. The four-week moving average was 746,250, a decrease of 16,000 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 3,250 from 759,000 to 762,250.
