Initial Jobless Claims Declined by 21,000 in Week Ending March 1
Washington, DC, March 6, 2025-- In the week ending March 1, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 221,000, a decrease of 21,000 from the previous week's unrevised level of 242,000, according to the Department of Labor.
The four-week moving average was 224,250, an increase of 250 from the previous week's unrevised average of 224,000.
