Initial Jobless Claims Rose 1K to 203K in Week Ending May 7

Washington, DC, May 12, 2022-In the week ending May 7, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 203,000, an increase of 1,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. 

The previous week's level was revised up by 2,000 from 200,000 to 202,000. The four-week moving average was 192,750, an increase of 4,250 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 500 from 188,000 to 188,500.
