Initial Jobless Claims Lowest in Over Five Years

Washington, DC, May 9, 2013 -- Initial jobless claims last week fell to the lowest level since January 2008, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Claims fell a seasonally adjusted 4,000 to 323,000.

The four-week moving average of claims fell 6,250 to 336,750.
