Initial Jobless Claims Edge Higher
Washington, DC, Aug. 2, 2012 -- Initial claims for unemployment benefits edged higher last week, according to the Labor Department.
Initial claims rose 8,000 to a seasonally adjusted 365,000 in the week ended July 28, better than economists' expectations of 370,000.
Weekly applications have ranged from 352,000 to 392,000 in the first seven months of 2012.
