Initial Jobless Claims Declined by 20,000 in Week Ending March 11

Washington, DC, March 16, 2023-In the week ending March 11, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 192,000, a decrease of 20,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. 

The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 211,000 to 212,000. The four-week moving average was 196,500, a decrease of 750 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 197,000 to 197,250.
