Initial Jobless Claims Decline Last Week

Washington, DC, May 28, 2014 -- Initial jobless claims for unemployment benefits fell last week, according to the Labor Department.

Initial claims fell to 300,000, a decrease of 27,000 from the previous week.

The less volatile four-week moving average was 311,500, a decrease of 11,250 from the previous week and the lowest level since August of 2007.
