InformationWeek Names Mohawk Innovator
The only flooring company honored, Mohawk was 154th in the standings, sharing the list with Lowe’s, Dell, Google, Southwest Air Lines, and General Motors, among others.
Mohawk said it has a long history of embracing technology to enhance efficiency, improve customer service, and adapt to changing customer demands.
One such project is Mohawk’s new redundant voice and data network, which keeps a wide-ranging organization of factories, distribution, and independent dealers in constant communication. It helps ensure on-time delivery, even with last minute changes. It lets management make adjustments in production that save thousands of dollars.
Each year, InformationWeek tracks the technology practices of the nation's most progressive companies. The 20-plus industries surveyed represent such diversified fields as automotive, biotechnology, telecommunications, transportation, and manufacturing.
