Inflation Still Tame in March
Washington, DC, April 15, 2014 -- The Labor Department said that the consumer price index rose 0.2% in March.
Overall, prices are up 1.5% over the last year.
So-called core prices, which exclude the volatile food and energy categories, increased 0.2% in March and 1.7% in the past year.
Consumer prices rose just 1.5% for all of 2013, down from 1.8% in 2012.
