Industrial Production Rises Again in February

Washington, DC, March 16, 2012 -- U.S. industrial production rose again in February, although it was somewhat restrained by a slowdown in manufacturing and a decline in natural gas extraction.

The Federal Reserve said Friday that the output of the nation's factories rose 0.3% last month. That followed even stronger increases in January and December, which combined for the best two month stretch since 1998.

Production in January was revised to a 0.4% increase, initially reported as no change.
