Increased Trucking Shows Economic Expansion
New York, NY, June 14, 2012 -- One leading indicator of economic activity, truck shipments, show the U.S. economic expansion is continuing, according to BusinessWeek.
Truck shipments rose 2.8% in April over a year ago and were up 0.2% from the previous month, BusinessWeek said.
The magazine said that the economy has never contracted without a trucking decline first.
