Imports of Ceramic Tile in Q1 Rose 11.5%

New York, NY, May 12, 2025-Total U.S. imports of ceramic tile in the first three months of the year were 44.3 million square meters, an increase of 11.5% from the previous year when imports were 39.7 million square meters, reports Grosser Consulting. The increase was due to imports from Spain (+34%), Italy (+12%), Brazil (+38) and Vietnam (+61%).

Imports in square meters were as follows: Spain is in first place with 9.8 million square meters, followed by Mexico (6.9 million square meters), Italy (6.9 million square meters), India (6.2 million square meters), Brazil (4.2 million square meters), Vietnam (2.6 million square meters) and Turkey (2.4 million square meters). Total imports were 44.3 million square meters (+11.5%).

Imports in dollars were as follows: Italy is in first place with $138.1 million, followed by Spain ($137.7 million), Mexico ($65.6 million), India ($30.6 million), Brazil ($28.8 million), Turkey ($18.2 million) and Vietnam ($17.5 million).  Total imports were $489 million (+10.9%).
