Import Prices Declined 0.6% in May, Export Prices Declined 1.9%

Washington, DC, June 15, 2023-U.S. import prices decreased 0.6% in May, after increasing 0.3% the previous month, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. 

Lower fuel and nonfuel prices each contributed to the May decline. 

Prices for U.S. exports fell 1.9% in May following a revised 0.1% drop in April.
