Imperial PlasTech Signs Production Deal With Agra

Toronto, August 26 -- Imperial PlasTech Inc. has entered into an exclusive supplier agreement with Agra Flooring International Ltd. (AFI) of Calgary, Alberta. Terms of the agreement will provide a substantial boost to Imperial's fiberglass pultrusion facility in Nisku, Alberta. AFI is a leading manufacturer of flooring systems for the animal confinement and agricultural sectors. The new partnership with Imperial PlasTech is the result of significant demand world-wide for AFI's patented products. Currently, 75% of AFI sales are exported abroad. According to Imperial's CEO, Stamatis Astras, the Nisku plant will produce proprietary OEM profiles for AFI. "While partnering with AFI clearly maximizes production at our Nisku plant, the deal also employs our R&D team and diversifies our target markets for fiberglass pultrusions," stated Mr. Astras. "We expect to have several new product launches from the Nisku facility over the next 12 months," added Mr. Astras. Imperial PlasTech's Nisku, Alberta facility currently manufactures EZDeck and EZRail - high end, wood-alternative decking products which are marketed through a North American dealer network. The plastics manufacturer has aggressively been pursuing new wholesale distributors and direct business in the O.E.M. markets to fulfill production capacity at Nisku plant. The deal underscores Imperial's commitment to counter the outsourcing trend in North America by creating and keeping manufacturing jobs in their Canadian and American plants.
