Illinois Retailer Holds Own SmartStrand Promotion
Princeton, IL, Oct. 21, 2011 -- Princeton’s Wyanet Carpet held a SmartStrand Challenge for the entire community to see.
Owners Todd and Debra Burrows installed Mohawk's SmartStrand carpet on Main Street for the local Homestead Festival Parade.
The SmartStrand carpet was subjected to serious abuse all day from tractors, trucks, cars, people, and even animals on the parade route.
The mess was bigger than the Burrows expected.
“It was bad,” said Todd Burrows. “But we never doubted the power of SmartStrand’s durability and built-in stain resistance.”
A team of carpet cleaning professionals from ServiceMaster of Princeton volunteered their services and went to work as soon as the parade ended.
“It’s a great conversation starter for our sales team,” Burrows said.
Mohawk has conducted similar national promotions, such as subjecting SmartStrand to large zoo animals.
