IICRC Launches New Web Site

Vancouver, WA, September 10--The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has launched a new Web site: http://www.certifiedcleaners.org . The group asid that home and business owners can now rely on their online "cleaning and restoration industry guardians" to learn reliable tips from the industries' top professionals and search through an online referral service to locate the nearest certified professional in their residential area. The site is organized by topics including carpet cleaning, mold remediation and fire/smoke/water damage restoration. The new online resource will continue to expand as the IICRC updates its research and standards for the cleaning, inspection and restoration industries. "CertifiedCleaners.org was created as a way for consumers to navigate through the comprehensive cleaning, inspection and restoration industries," said Ruth Travis, vice-chair and marketing director for the IICRC. "By selecting an IICRC-Certified Firm or Technician, you have chosen trained professionals who will provide reasonable assurance that work will be completed in accordance with the Industry's standard of care." The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is a non-profit certifying body for the flooring inspection, floor covering and specialized fabric cleaning and disaster restoration industries. Organized in 1972, the IICRC currently represents more than 3,500 Certified Firms and more than 33,000 Certified Technicians in 30 countries. The IICRC, with participation from the entire industry, sets standards for inspection, cleaning and disaster restoration. IICRC does not own schools, employ instructors, produce training materials, or promote specific product brands, cleaning methods, or systems. It approves schools and instructors that meet the criteria established by the IICRC. IICRC also serves as a consumer referral source for Certified Firms and Inspectors.
