Minneapolis, MN, January 8, 2007--iFloor.com, the nation's largest online flooring retailer is planning to open a bricks and mortar location in the Minneapolis metro area, according to a report in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
The report said that iFloor will open a 15,000-square-foot store in Brooklyn Park next month.
The location will double as a distribution center, where online customers in the area can go to receive their orders faster and cheaper.
The company has locations in Seattle and Tukwila, Washington, Newark, Delaware and Hayward, California. In October of 2005 the compnay said it planned 36 locations over the next 18 months.
The Bellevue, Washington company said at that time stores were slated to open in Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Maryland.
The locations are generally in the range of 5,000 square feet and according to the company carry a range of flooring products.
