IFC Pauses on Price Increase, Notes Goods in Transit Not Impacted

Dalton, GA, April 8, 2025-International Flooring Company (IFC) sent the following message to its partners regarding the tariffs.

Said Julian Dossche, president,

“With all the recent headlines around tariffs and trade policy, I wanted to reach out directly and share where we stand.

“Most of our products are made in Vietnam, so naturally, the recent announcements caught our attention. That said, we’re not in the business of making knee-jerk reactions. We’ve seen this playbook before-tariffs used as a negotiation tool-and we’re watching things closely. Just this weekend alone the headlines are showing immediate responses and the potential for shifting the final numbers. When there’s real clarity, we’ll respond accordingly.

“In the meantime, I want to be clear: the proposed tariffs do not apply to goods already in transit, and we’re committed to making sure those increases aren’t unfairly passed on to you or your customers.

“At IFC, we’ve always believed in taking care of our partners first. We know that the trust we’ve built together is more important than any short-term headline. So while there may be some uncertainty ahead, you can count on us to keep a steady hand and stay transparent with you every step of the way.”
